Black Madonna Rosary

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Black Madonna Rosary (the “App”) or this website (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Open Altar, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) may change these Terms. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

2. What the Service is — and is not

Black Madonna Rosary is a Catholic rosary for prayer on your phone.

The Service is not:

If you are in a mental-health crisis, suicidal, or in a medical emergency, contact emergency services (911 in the U.S.), call or text 988 in the United States, or seek a licensed professional. Do not rely on the App for that.

3. Eligibility

You must use the Service in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the device on which the App is installed, including use by anyone who shares that device.

4. No account

The App does not create an account. There is nothing to share, recover, or transfer between devices except as Apple provides for purchases. Preferences stay on the device.

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for prayer and for no other commercial purpose, as long as you comply with these Terms and Apple’s terms for the App Store.

6. Purchases

Mystery I is a gift. The Full Rosary is a one-time purchase through Apple. There is no subscription and no checkout on this website.

Payment, taxes, restore, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We do not take a card on this site. If you need a refund, request it from Apple.

We may change the price of a future purchase. A purchase you have already completed through Apple remains yours to restore on devices signed in with that Apple ID, subject to Apple’s rules.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Intellectual property

The App, this website, the artwork, the voices, the meditations, and the arrangement of the prayer are owned by Open Altar, Inc. or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Black Madonna Rosary and Open Altar are used here as marks of Open Altar, Inc.

Scripture presented in the App is for prayer. It is not offered as a published Bible, and you may not treat the App as a license to reprint those texts.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or make derivative works from the Service without our written permission, except for your own private prayer on a licensed copy of the App.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPEN ALTAR, INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR INABILITY TO USE IT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Open Altar, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim, contact support@openaltar.app and allow a reasonable time for informal resolution.

If that fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in the United States. You agree to resolve disputes only as an individual. You waive any right to a class action or class arbitration. Either party may still seek injunctive relief in court for misuse of intellectual property.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Open Altar, Inc. regarding the Service. Apple’s terms also apply to purchases made through the App Store.
